Krisha, our gorgeous real bride, worked with us in January 2023. She definitely had a vision of something simple but sexy for her destination wedding in Mexico. Krisha had a whole list of gowns she wanted to try at our studio, all of them STUNNING but after trying on the one - she just knew. A true testament that you can find your dress at your very first appointment and when you know, you know. Sometimes you just need to listen to your heart … and your Bridal Stylist!

Read on to learn more about marrying her high school sweetheart and how she found her dream dress.

Krisha wore the Eva gown by Dany Tabet and Elle Veil by Made With Love.

  • I met my now husband, Jacob Nunez, in high school! We were always a part of the same friend groups but never really found our way to each other till our senior year of high school. We've been together ever since and will be celebrating 13 years together this year. It was the perfect timing for us!

  • Ok so at the time I lived in Calgary, AB and we were in the middle of a long distance relationship. We'd only see each other 3-4 times in the year and it was tough times for us. He came to visit me to celebrate our 6 year anniversary. He planned an entire day going around the city and ended it with a nice dinner - I was so sure he would be proposing at dinner. He didn't. The next morning I woke up and turned to see him down on his knee proposing!

  • We wanted the vibe to be modern, minimal, earthy and romantic. The resort we chose for our wedding was exactly that and we knew we didn't need much to dress it up!

  • We got married at the Finest Playa Mujeres resort, just north of Cancun, Mexico. We've always known we wanted to get married in Mexico and we did a lot of research to find a place that's modern/romantic, that all our friends and family would enjoy, and easiest for travel.

  • I've always known I wanted a dress that would be timeless, a train, hugs my body, and feels sexy! Everly was my first and only visit. Going in I didn't think I would find my dress so quickly. The first dress I tried on was so similar (fitted and with a slit), I loved it, but something was missing. I knew I also needed to try a variety of dresses just to really make sure I tried everything - fully lace, open back, satiny material, etc. After about 4-5 dresses, Tessa really understood my vision and pulled a dress saying "I think you're really going to like this one."

At first, all I could think about was that the dress has off-the-shoulder sleeves, but everything else about it felt so good. I felt like it hugged my body in all the ways I dreamed, it had a slit to bring in the sexy feel, and I loved the train. When I found out the sleeves could be removed, it was game over. I still have a video of that moment when the sleeves were coming off and it felt perfect! I couldn't believe it!

  • Our first dance, hands down. For so long we would play our song in the kitchen while we would cook dinner, slow dance, and talk about how one day we would get to dance to this song at our wedding with all our friends and family with us. It was so special! Our grand entrance was us walking into our song and going straight into our first dance. The entire time we were just crying tears of joy because we were finally in the moment we dreamed of for so long! Our song: Is This Love (Acoustic Cover) - Luke Burr

  • The planning leading up to the day can easily be stressful. Plan everything you can as far in advance as you can to minimize the stress closer to. Once you're there, whether its the start of your wedding week/weekend/day, BE PRESENT. The time FLIES by and actively making sure we stayed present from start to finish was the best thing we could've done and stop sweating the small stuff!
